Not had much time this week, but I managed to steal an hour in the garden this morning (and five minutes having a break from housework this afternoon) It was havoc this morning... three Woodpigeons and several Starlings all quarrelling for the best spot! There were TWO Coal Tits back and forth on the sunflower hearts, so I hope to see young ones soon.

I remember Steve Rogers blog about the Starling, I think it was headed as Sternus not Vulgarus and how right is he. It is a shame they are in decline. I didn't see any of the flocks we uusually see at Marazion this last winter.

Yes I remember Steve's post. They really are very attractive and amazing to watch in flock flight. I assure you there is no decline here!!! The only decline is in my bank balance with all the food they eat!
