  5. Beautiful shots Angie... I'm a bit surprised when I look at them, because their color pattern is quite different from the one we have here, even the beak is slightly different!!

  8. Oh my! Starlings are invasive exotics on this side of the pond; I have one friend that refuses to count them on birds counts. I gather they are not pests in your neighborhood. I finally kept them from nesting in the walls of my old house, and I do tend to look at them more than most birders I know. They really are quite lovely, very smart, and very adaptable.

  9. An often underrated bird I think and a very intelligent one, I believe. Lovely photos showing the plumage beautifully. I think it had its beady eye on you in the last one! :)
