Super set of photo's angie. I especially like the Dragon flies
Hi Angie. The Dragonfly is a Migrant Hawker (Aeshna mixta)Nice picture.
Thank you Sam. I was pleased with them. They are a challenge, but I love them.Hi John. I shall amend that and give it a label for future reference. Thank you.
Why don't my Dragonfly shots turn out like that...are you holding something back sweetheart?
Hi Angie,A pure beauty this post! I love the little grebe shot a lot but have never seen this bird by my own eyes!! The buzzard was nice to you, taking the pose. We do have garganey here in Iceland. I've seen one close to Reykjavik this year., but they are so rare here that we have to make reports when we see them.
Thank you Chris. It was a good day. The Garganey was a life tick for me and ID'd quickly thanks to a local bird watcher so I was very fortunate.
Thank you John - Not sure where you comment went though! Just goes to show how much I really do know though :-)
A lovely set of photos Angie, I never did manage to get a photo of a Migrant Hawker this Summer and no chance now! The Common Darter posed beautifully for you :)
Thank you. Walmsley is a fabulous place for Dragonflies and Damselflies.
Good shot of the Little Grebe, and the Buzzard; very obliging. I'd love to get one perched like that.
Fantastic set,love your Migrant Hawker.Fab shot Angie.John.
Thanks to you too Keith.
