I so wish I had been closer to this Wren. I never get so much time to watch them as they normally flit away quickly, but this one even had a snooze. I suspect if I had moved closer though, it would have been gone in a flash!

Greenshank. On this same bird yesterday I auto contrasted and it was too bright so I have tried to tone it down a little today. Sometimes AC works well though.

Starlings at Par Beach Pool at dusk this evening giving a stunning acrobatic display before going to roost in the reeds...

  1. Good job with the Wren Angie as they don't often sit still. Love to watch large flocks of Starlings reeling around but still amazes me that they don't bump into one another! FAB.

  3. Well wrens are not that easy to get Angie.... I think this is one of the hardest bird to get nice shots off, but if we keep trying it will happen eventually!
    I love your greenshank shot!

  4. I agree with Chris, Wrens are incredibly difficult to get decent photos of so you did well. I find it is not easy spotting them in the first place as they skulk around so much!

I just left a comment on Trevor's post and then came over to catch up with you and reading your 'Cranky' post re men and guns the comment I left him would have been appropriate on yours too ;)
