I've not been doing much; unable to get out and about due to lots of work and it has not been a good day today, but I'm still keeping my day list and having the odd session in the garden, even though I'm quiet and it's so dark out there even in the daytime! Catching up with the blogs tonight and decided to put these up for Holdingmoments Keith. "Hold onto those special moments in life"...

Robin in the garden...

Coal Tit in the garden...

I needed the flash for this one!... Don't think that Squirrel proof peanut feeder will last much longer!

  3. Thank you both. I think the Robin was trying to tell me that there were none of his favourite pellets in the tray and the Squirrel has opened up that feeder to release the peanuts onto the ground so many times!

  6. Except for your "funny colored" robin, these could have been pictures from my backyard - Black-capped Chickadees and gray squirrels on the feeders. Interesting how similar - and different - the Coal Tit and the Black-capped are. And how different the European Robin is from the American Robin; the settlers must have been homesick when they named the latter after the former.

  7. Thanks Chris - he's not cute to Trevor when he vandalises the feeders!
Thanks Chris. I know what you mean. When I looked at your Robin I "took a second take"!
