  1. Raben gefallen mir, auch wenn sie bei uns zur Plage werden.

  2. I agree! - the corvids are wonderful. I suspect the reason some people don't like some of the corvids is that they may be smarter than we are. Also, my mind just registered your pic of the Trumpter Swan. Since it is native to NA and endangered, I assume this is a captive bird. I'm seeing so many pics of the robin on blogs, that I'm going to have to cross the seas soon just to see one - gorgeous bird - and a good singer to boot I gather from your post.

  3. Oh dear! I have missed about ten days worth of great posts but I have just enjoyed going through them all. What a fantastic time you had at Slimbridge and so many beautiful photos of lots of birds I have never seen. The Smew is very impressive, we had one a couple of years ago on a small, local fishing lake and a Black Swan also turned up there. Those Mandarin Ducks (which again I have only seen in photos) always look to me like they are made out of patchwork felt! The Trumpeter Swan photo is really beautiful and 'The Gate-crasher' is so funny :)

  6. Hanspi Schar - Thank you for your kind comment.

Thanks Chris - I suspect you may be right. Yes the Trumpeter Swan is captive bird at Slimbridge and yes, the Robin is a treasure. I love them. We have three competing for territory in the garden at the moment.

Thanks SSB - I struggle to keep up with all the blogs too at the moment.

Thanks John. I thought that too! :-)

Thanks Keith - It's a busy time with the membership at the moment. Your new blog is great.

  9. I've really enjoyed catching up on your posts Angie, especially the ones from Slimbridge. That is a place I have to visit soon!

The Robin's a beauty, and the strutting Crow just oozes cockiness. Great birds.
