Honeysuckle/Blue Tit

I recentlty trimmed the triffid Honeysuckle in the garden (not a lot... just enough to see the birds on their perches) and this Blue Tit obviously found something tasty to munch on at the cut, as it was there for about five minutes nibbling away!

A few snatched shots in the garden at lunchtime when I came home to feed the dog and the birds and say hello to The Abbot - plus a Greenfinch feeding this evening!

I took my cameras to a BBQ on Saturday, having been told that they had a big garden with lots of wildlife... I saw lots of Butterflies, Swallows, Swifts, Buzzard and Gulls, but I did not get any decent shots, despite the fact that they do have a lovely garden and plenty of wildlife if you take the time to look and listen! This one was taken on the way home leaning out of the car window!

With reference to my last post, I saw a lone Swift circling above the house when I came home from work (late) this evening - put a smile on my face :-)

Some moth images, which I have collected at home. I think they are: i) Buff Arches; ii) Magpie; iii) Brown House Moth.

For the second day now I have not seen or heard any Swifts above the garden and I noticed they were more active and noisy than usual (if that's possible!) a few days ago. Sadly, I suspect they have moved on for their long journey :-(
