This image has been up before, but I couldn't resist another showing. We had Firecrest and Goldcrest feeding in the garden last winter and I was hoping they would return this winter. The first sighting of a Goldcrest was Sunday 29th Nov (spotted by Trevor). Fingers crossed for a Firecrest soon and time to get the garden hide up and running and to get some more images!

Yes please, just get properly dressed with warms socks, a warm coat and get the firecrest pictures.. I've never seen one! I already find the goldcrest a hard bird to take pictures of, so I cannot even imagine the firecrest!! I'll have to try harder for goldcrest one day!!!
ReplyDeleteThe one of last year is already a beautiful shot!
What aluck, again in your garden! It's a beautiful bird and you`ve got photographed in an acrobatic position. The first wintering firecrest have arrived here a few weeks age, but its population increase as temperatures fall in winter. Greetings!
ReplyDeleteNice one .. Hopefully the Firecrest will return
ReplyDeleteI've not seen this pic before Angie. Super shot and let's hope we are both lucky with Goldcrest again this winter.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Firecrest would be a 'mega' garden tick here. FAB
Lovely shot showing its crown beautifully.
ReplyDeleteThanks Guys. I must knuckle down!
